The only problem is that the link to the driver is different. I have not also been able to get WPA to work but it connects to my WEP enabled wireless router without any problems whatsoever. This is hardware related as I have the same problem in WinXP. If you get a window after that requesting that you enter a password to encrypt your keyring, you can enter your login password, no password at all insecure , or a separate password you’ll have to remember it – you must enter it every time you connect. Had to compile the Ralink drivers for RT and blacklist the rt and rt2x00 modules. You may need to install a newer kernel though Tested with Ubuntu Dapper on bit.

No – It doesn’t work at all, has degraded performance, or requires manual configuration to make it work. Link to some of my config files and a few howto’s.
Just plugged in and entered WEP password. Well, if you get ew-712g8 output from the command to load a module that’s a good thing. What does the readme file say?
